Utes to host tourney, food drive

There's no place like home for the holidays, and the Utes will enjoy a homestretch extending over the Thanksgiving weekend as they play host to Central Michigan, Wright State and Idaho State.
The three-day tournament kicks off Wednesday afternoon, and resumes again Friday after taking Thanksgiving Day off. The tournament concludes Saturday night with Utah matching up with Wright State at either 3:30 PM or 7:30 PM, depending on TV selection. Each day of competition will feature two games, one of which will feature the Utes.

In conjunction with the tournament, the University of Utah Athletic Department and the Utah Food Bank have teamed up to sponsor a food drive. For the duration of the tournament, the Utah Food Bank will be on hand to collect non-perishable canned food items at Huntsman Center doors. In return for canned food donations, each donor will receive free admission to both games scheduled for that day.
The drive spans all three days of tournament play, and fans are encouraged and welcome to return each day with a separate canned food donation to receive free admission.
The tournament offers Ute fans an opportunity to enjoy FREE Runnin' Ute basketball over the holiday, while supporting a great cause in the Utah Food Bank during its crucial holiday season.
The Utah Food Bank and Runnin' Utes encourage fans to come out and participate in this great event designed for the benefit of the Salt Lake community. For more information, click on the official University of Utah link about the event.
