Texas athlete lists Utah among top schools

Terrance Anderson has plenty to work on once he begins his senior season. A standout quarterback for Aldine High School in Houston, Anderson will also begin honing his skills on the defensive side of the ball. A little undersized to play quarterback at 6-feet, 170-pounds, most schools are recruiting him as a defensive back, but a few schools are recruiting him as a receiver. Asked if he preferred offense to defense, all Anderson would say was "It really doesn't matter. I'll prefer any place where I can get the ball in my hands."

Although several programs are recruiting him, Anderson lists his top 5 as Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Utah, Northwestern, and Wisconsin. All have offered him scholarships, and he is currently leaning toward Oklahoma State. Not in any rush to make a decision, Anderson wants to "weigh my options and wait."

Anderson spoke well of Utah when asked about the school. "Well, I really think I can contribute. I can play receiver. However I can help the team out. I'll play anywhere. At Utah everyone on the offensive side of the ball gets to touch the football. I wouldn't mind playing in that offense at all. I don't know yet [about a recruiting visit]. Probably officially, but not unofficially."

Planning on majoring in business management, Anderson lists three things he is looking for in a college as "Academic programs, first of all. Second, a college that makes me feel comfortable. Third, the football program."
