Goethel keeping his options open

Taking things easy for Vista's Travis Goethel is not an option for summer break. "My team is doing a lot of stuff right now. We come in for like an hour workout everyday, and then we have 2 hours of practice after that."

Goethel's stock has been soaring recently after a NIKE camp this spring that featured many other of the California Top 100. "I went to a combine at USC. I did really well while I was at that combine."

Goethel has made it clear that playing time is a big factor in determining whom he will be committing to once he makes his decision. "Not necessarily starting right away, but how much playing time I can get in the future," said Goethel.

Making visits to the schools that Goethel is interested in is definitely a priority for him at this point. "It's pretty much all open right now, but I like Utah, Notre Dame, Nebraska, San Diego State and UCLA." Travis Goethel has so far received offers from Nebraska, San Diego State, UCLA, Colorado, OR St. and Utah.

"I want to take all my visits before I make a decision," said Goethel when asked about his plans. Travis Goethel has stated that at the moment a number of teams that are recruiting him are about equal.
