Halahuni intent on making visit before deciding

In between summer workouts and attending camps at Idaho, Washington St., Oregon and Oregon St. – Joe Halahuni, 6-foot-3, 225-pound WR from Graham, WA, has had time to narrow his list of schools to three. Currently, Utah and Oregon St. are leading Washington St. for his services.
When asked about his favorites Halahuni said the following about Utah, "They have a very good football program. I don't really know a lot about their school, I looked it up on the Internet. I want to visit there and see what it's like, and see if I could see myself there."

Oregon State: "I like how close it is, and it is a really small town. Kind of like the one I live in now. It's not too big. Not a big city. It's got a good football program."
WSU: "Its really close. I really enjoyed my time there when I was visiting for football camp. The coach is really nice. I feel like they are going to be really good in a couple of years. Really nice town. Pretty small."
While schools are unsure, at this point, where Halahuni will be utilized on the field, there is no denying that his size and abilities make him a special player. As for Halahuni, he is willing to step-in where needed. "I'd like to play offense. I like catching the ball. But I would play defense if anyone wanted me to," he commented.
As for his abilities as a receiver Halahuni knows that although he is strong in many areas, there is always room for improvement. "I'm really good at catching the ball. I'm strong for a receiver. I can get open a lot. I don't run that well of routes, but I've been working on it a lot and I've improved a lot. And I'm not really fast for a receiver, so I'm going to try to work on that", he acknowledged.
While Halahuni would like to make a decision in the near future, there is one thing he would like to do before deciding. "I think all I need to do is visit Utah, see what it's like, and then shortly after that I'll make my decision. I just want to see what Utah is like and see if I like it. I don't want to wait too long. I pretty much want to get it over with."
UteZone.com will continue to follow Halahuni during the recruitment process.
