Virginia Tech has begun work on their 2009 recruiting class picking up the first commitment from local shooting guard Ben Boggs. The 6-foot-4, 180-pounder announced his decision in favor of the Hokies today.

The Roanoke (Va.) Hidden Valley prospect selected the Hokies over offers from William & Mary, James Madison, Liberty, Davidson and Rhode Island. He also was receiving interest from Michigan, Eastern Kentucky and UNC-Wilmington this fall.
