Super sophomores give Dallas Mustangs big boost
The Dallas Mustangs will be hosting its annual AAU tournament this weekend at Seagoville High School, and the Mustangs team consisting of some of the top Texas talent in the class of 2009 will be on center stage.
The team has been taking center stage during the spring AAU season after a dominating its pool at the Kingwood Classic and then making a top 16 run at the Next Level tournament before falling to Urban DFW and J'Mison Morgan despite playing against much older and more experienced competition.
Led by super recruit Nolan Dennis this Mustang team is one of the most talented in recent memory.
"This team is one of the most talented that we've had in a while top to bottom," said Mustang coach Ray Jackson. "This one is pretty strong, but I think the most talented team we've ever had was probably that '05 team with Byron Eaton, but this comes pretty close. With Nolan and these guys, Desean Miles and Marshall just at guards it's really strong. We don't have a big Gary Flowers in the middle, but it's pretty close."
